Returns & Refunds Policy

At SalzBite, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This Returns & Refunds Policy explains how to return items, request refunds, and what to expect when you shop at salzbite.com ("Site").

1. Reporting Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Goods

If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged in transit, or not what you ordered:

  1. Contact Customer Support immediately — within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Do not discard the item before reporting the issue, as we may request batch numbers, photos, or that the item be returned for inspection.
  3. Our team will issue you a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN) which must be clearly written on the outside of your return package.

Once we receive and inspect the item:

  • If the item is found to be defective or incorrectly shipped, we will offer: 
    • A replacement (if available), or
    • A refund including any original postage costs, or
    • An exchange for a product of equal value.

If we determine the product is not faulty (e.g., damage due to misuse), we may refuse the refund or charge a handling fee.

2. Change of Mind / Unwanted Goods

We understand that sometimes you may change your mind. If you decide you no longer want the item(s) you ordered:

  • Contact us within 14 days of receiving your goods to request a return.
  • Returned items must be: 
    • Unused
    • Sealed in original packaging
    • In a resalable condition
    • Accompanied by the original order number and RAN
  • You are responsible for return shipping costs.

Once the returned goods are received and inspected, we will refund the cost of the goods (excluding original delivery fees) to your original payment method.

Products that cannot be returned for change of mind include items that have been opened or used, especially products that involve consumable or oral contact for hygiene reasons unless faulty.

3. Hygiene & Consumable Products

For hygienic and safety reasons, items that have been opened or used cannot be returned for a refund unless they are proven to be defective or were incorrectly shipped.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Food products
  • Opened supplements
  • Items exposed to contamination
  • Consumables

Faulty consumables must still be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

4. How to Return Items

To return an eligible product:

  1. Contact our Customer Support team to obtain a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN).
  2. Pack the item securely with the RAN and original order number clearly visible.
  3. Return the items via recorded postage or tracked delivery at your cost.
  4. We recommend insuring the return shipment for the full value — we cannot accept responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.

5. Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed using the original payment method:

  • Credit/Debit Card — refunded to the same card used for purchase.
  • PayPal — refunded to your PayPal account.
  • Other Payment Methods — refunded according to your original method.

Please allow 3–5 working days for the refund to appear in your account once processed.

6. Cancellation Rights (UK & EU Distance Sales)

Under distance selling laws (for UK & EU customers), you may have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving any reason. You must notify us of your intention to cancel within this period and return the goods in accordance with this policy.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights where local consumer protection laws provide greater protection.

7. Customer Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Return items securely and responsibly.
  • Provide accurate information regarding the reason for return.
  • Ensure goods are not damaged in transit.

Failure to comply with these conditions may result in refusal of your refund.
